Cloud DevOps Engineer (Fresher)
Responsibilities
- Shadow and support senior DevOps engineers in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) under guidance.
- Assist in writing and maintaining simple Terraform modules or CloudFormation stacks for common resources.
- Support writing Ansible playbooks for server configuration management and infrastructure automation with mentorship.
- Help build and maintain basic CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Codepipeline/Jenkins) for build/test/deploy tasks.
- Contribute to containerizing services with Docker and maintaining dev/test Kubernetes environments (minikube/kind/EKS/AKS under supervision).
- Participate in monitoring/logging setup (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) by creating dashboards, alerts, and runbooks with mentorship.
- Perform routine operational tasks: user onboarding, key/secret rotation, patching, and cost/health checks following checklists.
- Support troubleshooting of dev/test issues, capturing logs/metrics, and escalating with clear context.
- Write and maintain documentation/runbooks for infrastructure components, pipelines, and operational procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 06-month –1 year of experience through internships or personal projects in DevOps or cloud.
- Comfortable with Linux command line and basic shell scripting (Bash).
- Basic understanding of Docker (build/run images, docker-compose preferred).
- Awareness of Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services).
- Familiar with GIT workflows (PRs, code reviews).
- Fundamental understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Exposure to at least one cloud provider (AWS or Azure) via coursework, labs, or personal projects.
- Basic grasp of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (HTTP, DNS).
- Ability to read and understand English technical documentation.
- Curious mindset, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals (or in progress).
- Personal labs/projects deploying workloads on AWS/Azure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Basics of message queues/streaming or caches (Redis).
Working time
- From Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
